Unicast Address

An address that is assigned to uniquely identify a single station on a network.


Uniform Resource Locator (URL)

The specific character string of an Internet resource comprised of a protocol, server, domain and other identifiers.


Universal Serial Bus (USB)

A computer interface offering bandwidths of 1.5/12/480/5000 Mbit/s used for connecting computer peripherals such as printers, keyboards and scanners.


Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP)

Twisted pair cabling that includes no shielding. UTP most often refers to the 100 Ω, Category 3, 4, and 5 cables specified in the TIA/EIA 568-A standard.
