New feature
200µm fiber pitch for SN-MT connector
The FIP-500 now supports the inspection of connectors with 200µm fiber pitch such as the Senko® SN-MT.

Improvements to the implementation of IEC 61300-3-35 third edition
In addition to providing the connector diagnostic function, the FIP-500 will now default to a fail result if permanent defects are found in the contact zone. This can be enabled or disabled (back to previous behavior) in the Analysis menu.

Support of duplex and single-fiber transceiver with lenses
The FIP-500 now supports the inspection of duplex and single-fiber transceivers with lenses, in addition the multi-fiber lensed transceivers and fiber-stub transceivers already supported.
